Advancing the conservation of wildlife and wild places to benefit the public

Volunteering Opportunities

We welcome volunteers and encourage the sharing of skills at White House Farm.

There will be increasing opportunities to assist the Trust as the project at White House Farm progresses.  To register your interest in volunteering please
e-mail us.

Our oldest volunteer is 96 and our youngest is 8 years old!
The tasks our volunteers undertake vary from administration to environmental work.

Volunteer Schemes

Our volunteering schemes aim to help young or disadvantaged people participate in nature conservation in positive, creative and inspiring surroundings.  There will be opportunities for volunteers to learn new skills.

VOLUNTEER DAYS 2010 - Group volunteer days usually take place once a month.  To register interest or for further details please contact us.

Volunteer day tasks may involve constructing habitat boxes, maintaining nature trails and scrub, and helping with event preparation.  Volunteers can also participate in the annual Enchanted Green Fayre at the farm, managing stalls or refreshments or helping with promotion.

MEADOW RESTORATION PROJECT  - Funded by SITA TRUST
During the first and last quarters of each year from 2010 to 2012, we will be working to restore meadows at the farm.  There will be opportunities to assist with this work more regularly at these times, at weekends and weekdays, as well as at group volunteer days.
