Our oldest volunteer is 96 and our youngest is 8 years old!
The tasks our volunteers undertake vary from administration to environmental work.
Volunteer Schemes
Our volunteering schemes aim to help young or disadvantaged people participate in nature conservation in positive, creative and inspiring surroundings. There will be opportunities for volunteers to learn new skills.
Library: Volunteers have access to the free lending section of the farmhouse library at White House Farm. All books for loan have been donated to The Sinfield Trust and we welcome further donations to extend our reading material for volunteers.
Internet Access: The Sinfield Trust have been awarded a free computer and a year's free BT Broadband internet access by BT Community Connections and volunteers are able to make use of this internet access for nature conservation and related research.
Volunteer Days 2007/08 - Group volunteer days usually take place on the first Sunday of every month. To register interest or for further details please contact us.
Volunteer day tasks have included constructing habitat boxes, clearing pathways, and maintaining open grassland areas. We will be hosting species identification days for volunteers to help monitor wildlife at the farm.
