The Sinfield Nature Conservation Trust became a registered charity in 1994. The founder trustees were Stanley and Grace Sinfield and Amanda Daniel.
The Trust wishes to support the future of nature conservation by actively involving people in the skills of appreciation and protection of the land and its wildlife. We seek to enhance the interdependent relationship between people and their natural environment.
• Develop an ecological residential centre offering a sustainable, healthy and inspiring learning environment.
• Provide facilities for teachers of environmental and holistic practices.
• Provide outdoor as well as indoor learning environments to directly involve people with the natural environment.
• Demonstrate the potential of nature conservation and the importance of human guardianship of nature’s biodiversity.
• Preserve the uniqueness of the Suffolk landscape, flora and fauna and involve people of all ages through education and experience.
• Improve people’s relationship with the land and their appreciation of rural heritage.
• Provide facilities for retreat and contemplation in peaceful and inspirational natural surroundings.
• Provide facilities for and promote traditional crafts that help to preserve and revitalise the natural environment.
• Provide facilities for creative arts inspired by nature including painting and photography.
